DANIEL CRAIG
After Pierce Brosnan hung up his hat in 2002, Daniel Craig entered as the famous secret agent in 2006 in Casino Royale. Casino Royale was the first film to use an original Ian Fleming title since 1987's The Living Daylights. Daniel Craig brought the danger, seductive rawness and realism to the character of James Bond that the series reboot needed. There were mixed feelings about Daniel Craig before Casino Royale was released. Some people even went as far as creating online petitions and websites against the "Blonde Bond". However, the previous actors, Sir Sean Connery, Sir Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton and Pierce Brosnan all came to support Daniel. On Casino Royale's release, all negativity went away and the film was a huge success. As a result Daniel Craig turned out to be a very popular and worthy James Bond.
Daniel Craig was born in Chester, England on March 2, 1968 and worked in television with some of the world's leading directors, including Sam Mendes with whom he would later collaborate with on the movie Skyfall. Daniel Craig redefined James Bond for the 21st Century, exploring new depths in the character and met the challenge of filmmaking with a commitment to performing many of his own stunts. He took cues from every one of the previous Bond actors.

Following Casino Royale, Daniel Craig went on to portray the James bond in four more films including Quantum of Solace, Skyfall and Spectre. Skyfall after its release in October 2012 (the 50th anniverary of James Bond movie franchise), went on to become the highest grossing Bond film of all time. This record was previously held by Thunderball for 47 years prior to Skyfall's release.
