Q's wORLD OF DEVICES, ARMOURY,CARS AND GADGETS

Major Boothroyd (also known as Q) appeared in almost every James Bond 007 movie. Here the alphabet 'Q' also stands for Quartermaster. 'Q' is the head of the 'Q' Branch (or later the 'Q' division) of the British Secret Service. The Q Branch is responsible for research and development. The only movie exceptions where Q didn't make an appearance was Live and let die, Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace. Almost in all of James Bond 007's missions, Q was responsible for providing James Bond with gadgets, equipments and vehicles that helped 007 to complete his missions and survive them. The character of 'Q' was portrayed by Peter Burton (1962), Desmond Llewelyn (1963-1999), John Cleese (2002) and Ben Whishaw (2012-current).
